The Severed Isles refers to a set of islands off the coast of Acryn.  Once a bustling trade port, it was cut off after the Upheaval when the magical artefact acting as its lighthouse put a "curse" on the island meaning nobody could ever leave, including the Lord of the island, Arnold Nightblade.

Adventurers have since seen to the curse and restored the island to being once again accessible.

Rumours have it that the entire island belongs to the Estate Agents.
