The Wyldewode is a sizeable expanse of forest some way to the north of Acryn. It encloses several villages and woodcutting communities, now almost suffocated within the Flux and maintaining only the most tenuous of links with the outside world. It is one of //those// woods – the kind few go into and fewer still come out; the kind where stories grow as thick as the trees; the kind you’re not allowed to talk about unless you have a really good foreboding voice and the ability to //really// over-pronounce the spelling.

Ask for [[resources:NPC:phileas_grinning|Phileas Grinning]] at the town of Wyldeaves on the very edge of the forest - he'll be all too happy to furnish you with several signed copies of his bestselling volume of local folklore, "Tales of the Wyldewode."
