===== Background =====
A relatively high-ranking member of the Wayfinder's Guild, James Walker is an ofttimes busy workaholic. To break up the monotony of his work a bit, as a skilled Harbinger of Consensus he indulges in some occasional experiments involving the creation of consciousness, though he generally tries to keep this covered up so as to avoid resulting scandal.

Recently these experiments included creating [[resources:npc:hunter|Hunter]], a consciousness which he placed inside a cat that he believed to be a stray.

More recently still, he has been contracted by the Wayfinders guild to provide souls for the creation of Clockmaker's Guild Golems (which has become a massive source of revenue for the Wayfinder's Guild). As such, he is always followed by two Clockwork Golem bodyguards: units [[resources:npc:unit_13|13]] & [[resources:npc:unit_14|14]].
