Claiming to hail from a nation far to the south, Ragnar was found washed up on a beach a few weeks after the unleashing of the Upheaval. With nothing but the vaguest memory of his reasons for coming north Ragnar quickly found a home in the Church of the Leader, its views seeming to chime with those of the distant land from which he hails.

More recently Ragnar has taken up adventuring and has taken a particular interest in helping the children he encounters during his travels. Since adventurers often encounter children lacking parents his church serves as a small orphanage he calls 'The Thane Academy for Gifted Children'.
