An incredibly gifted healer, Alyssa and her sister Abraxis drove the influnce of the dragon Tuireann out of the forests in the lands that would one day be Acryn. They met with the shipwrecked Darak and formed an adventuring party that eliminated all threats in the region before eventually founding the city.

Alyssa was murdered by her sister by a single stab through the heart.

As of Faith Healing the Tender has been healed of her spiritual wounds and is considering the possibility that her sister may not have been in control of herself when she committed her betrayal.
